Linux and OSI Encryption

Greetings,

Client encryption is a issue that each user needs to work around. On the server end, it looks like this...

Client: 127.0.0.1: Connected. [1 Online]
Client: 127.0.0.1: Encrypted client detected, disconnecting
Client: 127.0.0.1: Disconnected. [0 Online]

If you are on a Windows PC, the answer is simple - use ConnectUO or Razor. (NOTE: In the past you could use UOGateway, however, since client version v5.0.7.x it will not work).

If your on a Linux PC, you will soon find out that neither of these programs work. What to do?

Try using UO RICE. This program (requires Wine) will create a new file called No_Encryption_2D_Client.exe. Next change the "login.cfg" file by adding the shards IP address and port (usally 2593).
